The Fix Program team are compassionate, diversity friendly Women’s Health Physiotherapists who specialise in treating women with pelvic floor dysfunction. They provide Women’s Health and Continence Physiotherapy in Bay Street, Broadway and at our York Street Clinics. They are also experienced and passionate therapists in pregnancy related musculoskeletal and pelvic floor conditions.
 
The Fix Program Women’s Health services are managed by specially trained physiotherapists. Our assessment is wholistic from posture to pelvis/spinal and hip imbalance and internal vaginal assessment. With your consent we can coordinate our efforts with your psychologist and/or other health care workers to holistically give you the best care.

We manage pelvic floor conditions such as:

  • Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndromes (CPP)

    • Urologic pain disorders such as bladder pain syndrome/interstitial cystitis

    • Sexual dysfunctions such as dyspareunia, vaginismus and vestibulodynia

    • Anorectal pain disorders such as proctalgia and proctalgia fugax

    • Neuropathic pain such as pudendal neuralgia

    • Secondary changes due to gynecological conditions such as endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease and post gynaecological surgeries

  • Muscle overactivity such as pelvic floor and obturator internus muscles

  • Post operative physiotherapy for male to female sex reassignment surgery, including the progression of dilators

  • Over-active Bladder

  • Pelvic Organ Prolapse

  • Prescription and fitting of Pessaries

  • Pelvic floor weakness

  • Stress and Urge Urinary Incontinence

  • Pre- and Post-Natal pelvic floor rehabilitation

  • Bowel dysfunction such as chronic constipation

  • Advice on return to sport and physical activity

  • Pregnancy PGP, PSD, rectus diastisis, rib pain
